Dressing for an Interview

Dress in a manner that is professionally appropriate to the position for which you are applying. You wouldn’t dress the same way if you were applying to work at Target and applying to work in a law office. These tips are appropriate for job or internship interviews.
  • Clothing should be neat, clean, and pressed.
  • Avoid loud colors and flashy trends.
  • Your hair should be neat, clean, and conservative.
  • Research company culture on social media for ideas on what to wear.
  • Make eye contact and smile
  • Have good posture and firm handshakes
  • Don’t use perfume or fragrance; you never know who might allergic.
  • Continue to dress for success after you land the job.
Good luck in landing that dream job - or the job that helps pay the bills while you work towards that dream job!
