Coronavirus Impact on College Financial Aid

It has been a whirlwind of news that last two weeks now that seemed to change hourly about the Coronavirus. Lives are being affected in so many ways. People having to work from home now, or in some cases, not able to work at all.

Higher education has been in the center of that whirlwind. Most College students at colleges/universities are finishing up their semesters on-line. For many students it will be the first time ever taking an "on-line" class. Even though most of those students are very tech savy, it is going to be a big adjustment.

One other confusing aspect for those students, as well as graduated students and parents, is how this pandemic is effecting their financial aid.

Down below is a Q&A link from Federal Student aid for current college students, borrowers of student loans and parents that answers many of those questions people have.

I would encourage everyone to take a look at this Q&A and if you need more in-depth answers, you may need to contact your college/university or loan servicer.

We at ICAN hope all of you are staying safe in these unprecedented times. If we can be any of assistance please don't hesitate to contact us at 877-272-4692 or schedule a ZOOM virtual appointment on our website at: www.icansucceed.org/apt.
