Preparing for the ACT

As you begin researching the ACT test, a good document to review is “Preparing for the ACT Test” at this link: http://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/Preparing-for-the-ACT.pdf.

ACT’s home page can be found at www.act.org, and there are more ACT Test Prep resources at http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/test-preparation.html; however, I think the “ Preparing For the ACT Test” link is a great place to begin your research. This document has a lot of information packed into a few pages.

Here are the sections of the “Preparing for the ACT Test” online document:

1. A Message to Students

2. Overview of the ACT

3. Test-Taking Strategies

4. Prohibited Behavior at the Test Center

5. Content of the ACT Tests

6. Taking the Practice Tests

7. Practice Multiple-Choice Tests

A great way to start your ACT research is by reviewing “Preparing for the ACT Test” online: http://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/Preparing-for-the-ACT.pdf.

The next ACT Test is April 13 and the registration deadline is March 8. You can register at http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/registration.html.

There's also a test on June 8.

The ACT is a factor in college admissions so take the time to prepare and take the test at least twice. On average students who study and prepare increase their score the second time around.

Good luck!
